When Rihanna and Pharrell Williams collaborate, nothing but the best is to be expected. The two powerhouses appear to have teamed up once more to create some magic, but this time the magic has nothing to do with music.
Williams has given us a preview of what to expect just days before the debut of his first menswear collection for French fashion company, Louis Vuitton. Williams, the company’s new creative director, posted a photo of himself on Instagram on Thursday in front of a big billboard on the Seine-facing side of the Musée d’Orsay in Paris.
The billboard features a pregnant Rihanna sporting an unbuttoned black leather shirt to display her growing baby belly and toting numerous colorful LV monogrammed handbags. Williams’s followers on Instagram were ecstatic about the “Louis Vuitton Men, Spring-Summer 2024” Instagram post.
Williams plans to present his debut line on the first day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week on June 20, 2023. He was named the new men’s creative director by the French luxury fashion business in February. “I am glad to welcome Pharrell back home, after our collaborations in 2004 and 2008 for Louis Vuitton, as our new men’s creative director. His creative vision beyond fashion will undoubtedly lead Louis Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter,” said Pietro Beccari, Louis Vuitton chairperson and CEO.
