It seemed as though the whole entertainment industry was at Portimão, a city in Portugal, for the Afro Nation Portugal festival over the last week. Numerous celebrities from Mzansi including radio hosts, movie stars, and well-known artists, were seen having fun there.
Following a star-studded opening, Afro Nation Portugal’s headliner Davido gave a high-octane performance in front of tens of thousands of fans of afrobeats and amapiano.
During his performance on Friday night, the “Fall” hitmaker featured amapiano star Focalistic, a regular collaborator.
Videos of the duo performing their two smash tracks “Ke Star Remix” and “Champion Sound” live in front of an enthusiastic crowd were posted by Focalistic.
In addition to Focalistic and Davido, rap superstar 50 Cent performed as the only US headliner on Friday night. Several of the 47-year-old’s biggest songs, including “Window Shopper,” “Candy Shop,” “In Da Club,” and “Many Men,” were performed on stage by him. Portugal had a mood that could only be experienced in person.
As soon as the event was a success, Afro Nation began advertising its 2024 festival on its social media channels. “#ANP2024 tickets are currently on sale! Imagine if we didn’t always provide you with the best entertainment! Order now and join us later!”, they said.
