New Spotify original podcast set to be hosted by Trevor Noah

Following his departure from “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” in 2022, Trevor Noah has kept himself quite busy. In addition to collaborating with Savanna for his upcoming 12-show tour of South Africa, the South African comedian has also presented a number of events, most notably the Grammy Awards.

Spotify has recently revealed that a new “Original Podcast with Trevor Noah” will debut later this year. The organisation which described Noah as “one of the most successful comedians in the world and a New York Times best-selling author”, made this announcement.

In the weekly podcast, Noah will combine his brand of wit and cutting humor with his global perspective to offer a fresh view on the most trending and interesting subjects of the day. Additionally, the series will include “in-depth and free-wheeling” discussions between Noah and some of the most well-known and fascinating people from around the globe.

The organisation stated that the new original series, though a Spotify production, will be accessible on a variety of devices. “It’s really exciting to be joining Spotify on a fun new adventure where we’ll engage in interesting and meaningful conversations with some of the world’s most fascinating people,” said Noah of the new collaboration. “We’ll also probably fix every single issue humankind has ever faced so you definitely want to join us for every episode”, he said.

“Spotify is the ultimate audio destination, and partnering with Trevor Noah, one of the world’s most brilliant and distinctive voices, will make for captivating storytelling that will delight our more than 100 million podcast listeners around the world”, said Julie McNamara, VP, Head of Global Podcast Studios.

Spotify’s co-founder and CEO, Daniel Ek went to twitter to show his excitement regarding these news. “Welcome to Spotify @TrevorNoah! Excited for people to hear your new Spotify original podcast coming soon!”, he tweeted.
