The popular boy band Westlife has announced their South African tour dates this 2023. Westlife is the most successful Irish boyband and one of pop music’s most influential boybands formed in 1998 consisting of members Nicky Byrne, Kian Egan, Shane Filan and Mark Feehily. The band is set to kick off their “Wild Dream Tour” this November in South Africa. The group first rose to fame with their debut international self-titled studio album “Westlife” which was released in 1999. Big Concerts announced that the band will kick off their tour at Grand Arena, GrandWest on 01 November, 2023 and at SunBet Arena, Time Square in Pretoria on 03 November, 2023.
Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, 12 May, 2023 on Ticketmaster from 09:00am. Some of their greatest hits include Queen of my heart, Flying without Wings, Swear it Again and My love. The group first kicked off “The Wild Dreams Tour” in 2022 performing across the UK, including a sold-out headline show at London’s Wembley Stadium. The tour was shown live in cinemas across the UK and Europe. The multi-award-winning group has 33 No.1 albums worldwide and have received a number of recognitions including a World Music Award, two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards, and four Record of the Year Awards.
As a live act they have managed to sell five million concert tickets worldwide and are the only band to have their first seven singles enter the UK chart at No.1. The band has sold over 55 million records worldwide. Many people have expressed their excitement regarding the tour on social media stating how much they are looking forward to attending the concert.
