The World’s Most Admired Wine Brands is a list of the 50 most respected and best-known wine brands globally, which get’s published annually by Drinks International. KWV’s consistency and quality has been so impressive that they got awarded with the regional title of The Most Admired Wine Brand in the Middle East & Africa by the elite academy. They were ranked number 38 out of 50 which was, two places above the highly prestigious Bordeaux First Growth, Château Mouton Rothschild, and only one placement below another premier Grand Cru classic, Château Margaux.
KWV’s marketing executive for wine, Liandra Kotzé, stated that they were exceptionally proud to be included in this definitive list of the world’s most admired wine brands. Furthermore, she stated that it was an honour to be recognised alongside the most respected wine brands globally and that this was a reflection of their team’s commitment in achieving excellence in all aspects of the business. It indicated respect for the brand and earned the hearts of both local and international consumers.
This was the 13th edition of the global survey. Receiving a rank on the Top 50 is a great symbol of true respect and acknowledgement from within the global wine trade. Votes are received from academy members, who include wine professionals, journalists, educators and Masters of Wine. Their votes are what determine the rank of a brand. KWV’s wines and spirits are sourced from various vineyard pockets across South Africa therefore, this win should be a celebrated collective effort.
