Actress Simphiwe Ngema shows appreciation to boyfriend Tino Chinyani for being her rock. Ngema’s gratitude to Chinyani comes after she made headlines earlier this month by acknowledging that she visited Thabo Bester when he was being held at the Mangaung Correctional Center on charges of rape and murder.
In the since-deleted post on social media, Ngema claimed that after she had collaborated with Bester, she visited the jail breaker to “demand answers” regarding her payment. She claimed to have visited Bester at the prison in April, 2018.
“If he doesn’t know me and I don’t post him, then we ain’t post [sic] to be together,” wrote Ngema. “Mpostoli or nothing. Thank you for being my rock, Wumpalumpa”, she further wrote in appreciation to her boyfriend.
The couple had previously called it quits back in September 2021, with Ngema posting a message about their breakup on social media. This came after posting heartfelt birthday tributes to each other online for several weeks, before announcing their separation. The two share a kid together.
To Ngema’s message, Chinyani replied in the comments section: “The best thing that ever happened to me.” The former Muvhango actor who was previously married to Dumi Masilela unfortunately had her blissful marriage short-lived when Masilela was fatally shot in a foiled hijacking only months after they got married, in 2017.
