Storyline

Extreme athlete turned government operative Xander Cage (Vin Diesel) comes out of self-imposed exile, thought to be long dead, and is set on a collision course with deadly alpha warrior Xiang (Donnie Yen) and his team in a race to recover a sinister and seemingly unstoppable weapon known as Pandora’s Box. Recruiting an all-new group of thrill-seeking cohorts, Xander finds himself enmeshed in a deadly conspiracy that points to collusion at the highest levels of world governments.

#MM RECOMMENDATION

It’s like the mummy classics, you hope the next sequel will be better than the last but then the last one becomes the only reason you keep watching the new releases! We would not want anyone to believe we hate Vin and we sure love him but this sequel downgraded the action acclaimed xXx movie rating.

We had to re-watch the first make to actually get to give a review of this latest addition. Forbes may have it as a success in figures as well as rating agencies but this is a movie that does not weigh in very well with xXx fans. Let us start with the least expected on the scene, and that is Deepika Padukone. She definitely would be nicer in a love story or a Chickasaw remake but not an FX action movie and she brings out the disconnect in the movie. Ice Cube coming to the play at the end was also not a very smooth play, as one almost forgot he was part of the xXx franchise. The director could have placed him mid-scene and maybe the fire could have cached on well. Vin Diesel should stick the o Fast and Furious franchise, 2002 XXX was much better. Rest of the star cast is assembled to just please the producers “Shanghai Movies”.

We sure believe everyone has to see the movie to understand why we downgraded the movie from an action all star it was in the first make. The FX are still good but the story-line is awful and it shows that less work was put into getting an actually story out but the director sure wanted to create some action scene without the blend of a story to balance it.  Die hard fans could easily manage the movie but anyone hoping to get a feel of the fast and furious delivery would be disappointed, this is not the movie and we believe this affected the sales of the movies as we saw at the cinemas. But Strange enough the average action lover would still manage it well.

It really didn’t get the best movie we have watched and it is not going to win any awards but still would be a good watch for friends and families, definitely not for lovers or the curious, you might just doze off.
