The Redhill Arts Festival makes its way back to Joburg this weekend

Redfest, the eagerly awaited Redhill Arts Festival in Johannesburg, is back and better than ever. This year’s event, which will be held at Redhill School in Sandton from July 28 to 30, will include some of the top performers in the theatre, music, and artistic fields in the region.

There is something for everyone with a selection of thrilling theatre plays, a well curated art exhibition, a children’s play area, and an outdoor artisan market. On Saturday, the beloved MusicFest outdoor music event will return with headliners Jesse Clegg and Mi Casa.

The Mzansi Youth Choir, fresh off their historic America’s Got Talent golden buzzer, will give a much-anticipated performance at the Sunday Family Picnic, which concludes the weekend’s events.

According to Joseph Gerassi, executive head of Redhill School, this year’s arts festival is the largest one so far, bringing together more artists and stage shows.

“This support not only helps artists generate much-needed revenue as they continue to rebuild after the challenges of Covid-19 but also extends their reach and opens up new opportunities for future performances.”

Tickets are still available at Ticketpro.
