Bryan Adams, a Canadian rock musician, is set to return to South Africa once more as part of his “So Happy It Hurts” tour. Tour dates were recently confirmed by Big Concerts. The tour will begin in Cape Town on November 7, 2023 at the Grand Arena, Grand West, and continue to Pretoria on November 10, 223 at the SunBet Arena, Time Square.
Adams, who is one of the world’s most electrifying live performers having entertained audiences for more than 40 years with his upbeat singing and engaging stage presence will be performing in South Africa this summer. Some of his hit singles include “Cuts Like A Knife”, “Summer of ’69”, “Kids Wanna Rock”, “Can’t Stop This Thing We’ve Started”, “(Everything I Do) I Do It For You”, “Open Road” and “Thought I’d Seen Everything”.
The 63-year-old musician has received numerous honors and prizes for his songs, including 20 Juno prizes, a Grammy Award, five Golden Globe nominations, and three Academy Award nominations. This year, Adams will perform in a number of countries, including the USA, South Africa, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, and Thailand.
Adams’ 16th studio album, “So Happy It Hurts,” was completed and released last month, marking his return to the mainstream charts.
He spoke of the album to RETROPOP and said: “Someone said to me, ‘Do you ever hear some buskers doing your songs?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, me!’,” he laughed. “It still feels like I’m busking all this time later.”
