Jamie Foxx’s Health Speculation is Further Fueled by Mike Tyson’s Remark

Mike Tyson might have disclosed information about the unidentified “medical complication” that Jamie Foxx experienced back in April. During an appearance on the PBD Podcast, the 56 year old former professional boxer spoke directly about what he had allegedly overheard when the 55 year old, Django Unchained star was rushed to the hospital.

“He’s not feeling well,” Tyson told host Patrick Bet-David on the May 16 episode. “They said [it was] a stroke,” he said initially before immediately adding clarity, “I have no idea what happened to him.” Bet-David also went on to add that they had seen Foxx in a Los Angeles restaurant a few months before hearing of his hospitalization. “We were at a restaurant in LA, and he showed up and looked really good, and then all of a sudden you hear the stories about his hospitalization”, he said.

There have been no remarks on Foxx’s health problems from anyone close to the actor, so it seems to remain unclear whether or not he had a stroke.

Foxx’s daughter Corinne, first issued a statement on behalf of the family, informing fans that her father has been dealing with an unspecified medical condition. “From the Foxx family: We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she wrote on a Instagram post that has since been deleted. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers,” added Corinne. “The family asks for privacy during this time,” she further said, signing the message, “Much love, the Foxx family.”

She later denied reports that her father was ill and that the family was preparing for the worst, saying, “Sad to see how the media runs wild. My Dad has been out of the hospital for weeks, recuperating,” further adding that he was “playing pickleball yesterday!”

Foxx, however, seems to be recovering as he just declared his comeback to television on May 15 last week. He will be co-hosting a game show with his 29-year-old daughter. The game show, titled We Are Family, will have one celebrity who will sing a duet with a non-famous relative in each episode. Up to $100,000 will be up for grabs if the crowd correctly predicts who the star is before it is revealed. The celebrities will include actors, professional athletes, musicians, and more.

We Are Family is not yet scheduled for release, but it is anticipated to do so in 2024. According to reports, Foxx was also receiving rehabilitative care in Chicago.
