Nandi Madida on hosting Apple Music’s Africa Now Radio

This month, South African singer and actress, Nandi Madida joined the Apple Music team as the new host of the fourth season of Africa Now Radio on Apple Music 1. Madida does interviews with some of Africa’s biggest stars as the host of Africa Now Radio, Apple Music’s first worldwide African music radio show.

Madida has worked on radio twice, her first time was with The Coke Radio Studio Hour in 2017. Madida said that she had to record a demo in order to get cast in her second radio show. “The fact that I was chosen amongst so many amazing talents, really made it worthwhile. I’m so incredibly grateful, I love the continent, I love that the world is looking at Africa now more than ever”, she said.

Madida traveled to London to visit the Apple Music offices, where she met the host of “The Ebro Show” on Apple Music, American radio star Ebro Darden. “Apple has the best offices ever,” she said. An absolute pleasure for the singer was seeing the legacy of Apple and all the artists who have collaborated with them. Madida announced that she would be attending the next HollywoodBets Durban July, one of the biggest entertainment events in the nation.

Madida was named queen bee the previous year after winning the best dressed prize and nailing the “Show Me The Honey” theme. She was dressed in a honeycomb-themed gown by Keys Fashion. Madida said that as to who will be dressing her this year for the “Out Of This World” theme, is a surprise.
