Trevor Noah reveals he’s releasing a new book “for all ages” in October

Trevor Noah announces his latest endeavour. The South African comedian described the book as being “for all ages.” On Monday, Noah shared the book’s cover and publication date on social media.

Alongside the cover he wrote: “I’ve always wanted to write a book for all ages, and I’m really excited to announce Into The Uncut Grass will be out Oct 31st!”.

The website for Noah’s book describes Into The Uncut Grass as “an illustrated fable about a young child’s journey into the world beyond the shadow of home, a magical landscape where he discovers the secrets of solidarity, connection, and finding peace with the people we love,” and it was written in partnership with visionary artist Christopher Myers.

In a statement to People, Noah provided details on the inspiration behind the book.

“Infused with the author’s signature wit and imagination, this gorgeously illustrated book is written for readers of all ages – to be read aloud or read alone. It’s a tale of adventure and companionship that beautifully evokes the rewards of kindness, curiosity, and interdependence in a world of conflict.”

“Few memories in my life bring me more joy than the first few books I read as a child,” Noah said. “Either with my mom or reading alone, those simple stories shaped so much of how I saw the world. I hope this story can bring a little bit of that same joy to readers of all ages.”

Following his critically acclaimed memoir Born A Crime: Stories From a South African Childhood, which was published in 2016, “Into The Uncut Grass” will be released as his second book. Pre-orders for the book are currently being available, and the book will go on sale in bookshops on October 31. The publication of Noah’s book coincides with his Off The Record world tour of stand-up comedy.

The 39-year-old finished the French portion of his tour on Monday and is now in South Africa where he will give a number of performances in Cape Town, Durban, and Pretoria from August 30 to September 16.
