South African fashion designers are dominating on the global scene. This Monday, 08 May 2023, Hollywood celebrities appeared at the “The Little Mermaid” world premiere in Los Angeles in support of Halle Bailey who portrays the character of Ariel, and all the other cast members in the film. It was the cast’s outstanding performances which undoubtedly had everyone in awe of the film.
Halle Bailey’s superstar sister, Chloe Bailey had to dress to the nines to support her baby sister, who was the star of the show, and she did. She was dressed in a yellow “Following The Sun” gown by Gert-Johan Coetzee.
An artistic marriage of high fashion and nature was revealed in this astonishing gown, which took more than a month to complete. It had a geode-inspired bust line that cascaded down to her belly button. Its expertly designed bodycon silhouette perfectly embraced Bailey, honoring her fierceness.
Four images of Bailey wearing the garment were posted on the designer’s Instagram page because he could not contain his joy. Several international celebrities, including Cardi B, Lizzo, Laura Govan, and Aaron Holliday, have also been dressed by Coetzee before.
