John Wilkins gets signed by Rivers Hoopers for The Basketball Africa League

As reported by BSNSports.com.ng, John Wilkins has been signed by Nigeria’s representatives at the 2024 Basketball Africa League, Rivers Hoopers, for the current campaign.

Wilkins played for the Stade Malien team that finished third in the BAL the previous season. In the 2023 BAL quarterfinals, he scored an astounding 18 points in their victory over the Cape Town Tigers, earning him the Visit Rwanda Player of the Game title.

The seasoned centre was born in 1989 to former NBA player Jeff Wilkins. He has played in Belgium, France, Morocco, and Germany. The French-American played in the 2017 AfroBasket in Tunisia and Senegal with the Moroccan national team.

Wilkins is the third foreign player that the KingsMen have signed for the Basketball African League’s fourth season.
