Simphiwe Ngema grateful for support following her now deleted statement regarding her prison visit to Thabo Bester

Local actress Simphiwe Ngema has been a trending topic following a statement she issued on social media confirming a prison visit to convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester. On a recent story shared on her Instagram, the actress thanked those who reached out to her and showed her support during the social media havoc. On the statement posted by Ngema, she shared that she went to visit Bester to demand answers regarding the money he owed her as she was going through a difficult time in her life. She later deleted the statement from her verified account. The public expressed that her statement was poorly advised as it dug a even bigger whole for her.

The statement from Ngema came out after News24 journalist, Karyn Maughan revealed to the public that there was a celebrity’s name on Thabo Bester’s prison visitors records. The media personality is said to have visited Bester in 2018 when he represented himself as someone within the entertainment industry and introduced himself as TK Motsepe to her and others at that time.

Ngema claims to have only went there once and says that she has supporting documents to prove it. “I’ve been extremely open about everything to those that have been investigating and I have nothing to hide. I am not the person that went there on a regular basis nor was I the last person to visit before his escape”, stated Ngema on her statement.
